Surveillance Technology-Takumi Nishikori


I suppose that surveillance can equalize people in some way. 

Now I'm going to talk about the word equalize in a good way. 

Some research show that CCTV cameras and facial recognition technology have very much on security against crime. Such technology could prevent crime, and even a crime has occurred, it helps police to find the criminal.  That is because, surveillance technology tracks every person including wicked man.
By using such technology, we can reduce the number of people who feel sad from crime, and also reduce the number of people who profit unfairly from crime.

How about the bad way?
I want to know how You would feel when you notice that you've been watching by someone all the time. Relief? Comfortable? I suppose not. We would be nervous and uncomfortable when we realize being watched. This discomfort will not make you behave as usual. In addition, we could lose a scene to show our potential. 
In this situation, there will be no creative thinking or lively discussions. 
I think that this technology has something to do with the panopticon.

As I stated above, surveillance technology could fall into surveillance society though it has many benefits. 
We should discuss more about this topic.

    I agree with his opinion. Surveillance technology has many problems and dangers though it is useful. We should discuss more about it if we choose to use surveillance technology for safety of society.

    I agree with you. I found it very scary to imagine that someone was watching me all the time. I think everyone feels like this, I also think we have to discuss about this topic as soon as possible. Then we need to take action.

    I thought Surveillance technology makes people feel uncomfortable, which is not a big problem. But after I read your post, I noticed that under these environment, it's difficult to create new idea. Your perspective is very interesting.

   I think that the advantage and disadvantage of surveillance technology is the debatable problem. In my opinion, the technology of the CCTV camera makes our life much safer.      I think people will be able to protect the rich nature and create an environment where the plants, insects, and animals living there can live comfortably through opening pristine natural areas to tourism.      To make pristine natural areas as new tourist destinations, tourism will flourish, and a cycle will be created in which the government and businesses will further preserve the environment to keep the tourism industry. It also prevents environmental destruction by using the money it collects from tourists when it comes to sightseeing.      Through tourism, both tourists and operators can rediscover the magnificent and beautiful nature that the Earth brings to us. Therefore, I agree with the opening of pristine natural areas to the tourism industry.
