Sentence stress in english pronunciation - Sachiko Matsushita

 Before i watch this video, I’ve never thought of this topic and it is less necessary thing for me, but it is important.  What i learned is Sentence stress important to improve my english because there are four reasons.  First of all, sentences stress makes spoken english sound more natural.  Second, by using sentence stress, i can show “i'm surprised”.  Third, sentence stress can contrast two things. It is useful especially ordering something.  The last thing is that i don't have to concentrate on listing to whole sentences to understand what they are saying. My english has no sentence stress, so sometime i record my spoken english and then i realize my english is very boring.  I’m not good at stressing sentence, but it helps me to be a good english speaker, i have to make an effort, and i got a listening tip, i will use this to get great score on tests.

    I also think it is good not to concentrate all the words when I listening English. It makes much easier to listening to English.

   I think that the advantage and disadvantage of surveillance technology is the debatable problem. In my opinion, the technology of the CCTV camera makes our life much safer. If there was no CCTV camera around the city, there might be a lot of crimes. For example, in the supermarket, it could be much easier to stole the stuffs. In case of on the street at night, the possibility of happened to meet suspicious person would be rise.   I think surveillance technology is necessary for our safety. However, it can be dangerous thing.  That technology is very useful to prevent crime and keep cities safe. In fact, there are so many CCTV cameras all over my country. And I have never been involved in crime. That tells us thanks to them, we can live more peacefully. However, some of them make me uncomfortable. For example, when I realize that someone is watching my movement, shopping habits and myself, I feel scared even if I don’t have nothing to hide. In other words, I worry that someone can identify me if my personal information is leaked.  In short, surveillance technology is important, but I feel that our privacy may be invaded.

   Today's market was fun because there were a lot of shops. I saw accessory shops and clothes shops and tried a game, too.  It was the most interesting that many of the accessories were made by people. Both of the students and the sellers seemed to enjoy the market.  I felt this market was one of the interesting cultures for the students and the local people in New Zealand.
