Sentence Stress in English Pronunciation - Haisu Wang

I learned that the stressed words in a sentence that carry the meaning of the sentences are called content words. 

The unstressed words are the grammar words that connect the stressed words and provide the sentence structure. 

We should pronounce the unstressed words at a lower volume and faster speed.

And sentence stress can vary depending on the message's context, speaker, and emphasis of the message being conveyed.

I need to be conscious of how native speakers stress words in sentences and then practice them.

    Stress is difficult but important in English. I'll listen native speakers' stress points carefully.

    Actually, I didn't know what content wards are.
    As for me, it is new to put stress on sentence depending on what they want to tell compared to my native language.

    It's quite difficult to care about the sentence stress, but I think it's really important thing for us to communicate with other English speakers.

    Sentence stress is difficult, but it is necessary to speak English. Also, we can learn from native speaking.

    I've never pay attention to the content words and grammar words when I speak English, but I realize the importance of them to make a sentence stress.

   I think that the advantage and disadvantage of surveillance technology is the debatable problem. In my opinion, the technology of the CCTV camera makes our life much safer.   I think surveillance technology is necessary for our safety. However, it can be dangerous thing.  That technology is very useful to prevent crime and keep cities safe. In fact, there are so many CCTV cameras all over my country. And I have never been involved in crime. That tells us thanks to them, we can live more peacefully. However, some of them make me uncomfortable. For example, when I realize that someone is watching my movement, shopping habits and myself, I feel scared even if I don’t have nothing to hide. In other words, I worry that someone can identify me if my personal information is leaked.  In short, surveillance technology is important, but I feel that our privacy may be invaded.

Talk with friends - Sakura Iyama

       Talking with friends makes me feel relieved. However in New Zealand, there are few friends, therefore I’m really into talking with my friends on the phone. Due to the time differences between Japan and New Zealand, it is difficult to do that, however its difficulty makes me think that I should value my time.        For example, the time to communicate with family and friends that I used to talk to before coming here is precious time and without that, I would not be able to be happy.  Therefore, in my opinion, making phone calls is not only difficult but also makes me feel happy.
