Himari Kosugi - Beverly Hills, 90210

    Have you ever longed to live in California?  Are you interested in American teenage life?  Do you want to live a rich life?  If any of the above applies, you should watch 'Beverly Hills, 90210'.
    'Beverly Hills, 90210' is one of the most famous TV series in the US and set in Beverly Hills in the 1990s.  It focuses on the lives of the high school students whose parents are rich.  But it's not just about the fun lives of the riches.  It also shows us the shadow sides.
    This TV series ran for 10 years and has 10 seasons, so it took me about a year to watch all the episodes haha  Someone might think that it has too much episodes.  But all episodes are really interesting and the characters are all different personalities.  So in my case, I was able to enjoy watching them all without getting bored.

Anyway, you should watch its intro.  The soundtrack also grabs me!

   I think that the advantage and disadvantage of surveillance technology is the debatable problem. In my opinion, the technology of the CCTV camera makes our life much safer.   I think surveillance technology is necessary for our safety. However, it can be dangerous thing.  That technology is very useful to prevent crime and keep cities safe. In fact, there are so many CCTV cameras all over my country. And I have never been involved in crime. That tells us thanks to them, we can live more peacefully. However, some of them make me uncomfortable. For example, when I realize that someone is watching my movement, shopping habits and myself, I feel scared even if I don’t have nothing to hide. In other words, I worry that someone can identify me if my personal information is leaked.  In short, surveillance technology is important, but I feel that our privacy may be invaded.

Talk with friends - Sakura Iyama

       Talking with friends makes me feel relieved. However in New Zealand, there are few friends, therefore I’m really into talking with my friends on the phone. Due to the time differences between Japan and New Zealand, it is difficult to do that, however its difficulty makes me think that I should value my time.        For example, the time to communicate with family and friends that I used to talk to before coming here is precious time and without that, I would not be able to be happy.  Therefore, in my opinion, making phone calls is not only difficult but also makes me feel happy.
