A Desicion I've Made - Weeraorn Imjai
A turning point of my life
When the university entrance exam
season came to my life, I had to choose the major and faculty that I wanted to
study. I was able to choose four ranks. Finally, I made decision to put all
ranks with a major of Japanese in different universities. At that time, I
needed to put a code (it was a number) of a major and
university on a paper. In the past a process to apply to university was in paper
based.
The day of result announcement came, I got the result via a message on mobile phone.
I was very excited and very happy to know that I got a major and university that was in a first rank from four ranks.
However, something seemed wrong. I checked the code of subject and university again
and I found that I made a mistake. I put a wrong code and It was a code of a
major of Thai language! It was a big problem for me, a high school student, a
girl who must have studied in a field that never thought about before. I was so
stressed.
After that, I consulted family and close friends. I
got many ideas. Then I evaluated the situation and decided to be in Thai
language Major because I didn't want to wast my time. If I had felt hard in studying in Thai major and really disliked it, I would have quit.
Unbelievable that I was very happy to study in
Thai language major and I chose Japanese for minor subjects. Unfortunately, the
subject’s time both in Thai language major and Japanese major always were in
the same period. So, I stopped to studying Japanese and chose public relations and corporate communication for my minor
subject.
After I Graduated, I continued to study Thai language
major in a master’s degree. I planned to be a lecturer in university. However, finally
I chose to apply for a teacher in high school which a job and where a place I
never thought about. Haha
I had lots of tuning points in my life.
I don’t know why. It might be destiny.
If I had the opportunity to change something in this story, I would have put a correct code of Japanese major. My life must had change in a different way.
By the way I’m very happy now and never thought to fix it.😊
It might be destiny. Maybe it is the destiny.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely destiny :O
ReplyDeleteInteresting story! So glad that everything has turned out well. You showed a lot of maturity at a young age to buckle down and study Thai language even though it wasn't what you had planned to study. David :-)
