Have you ever though that when you get older and/or wrinkles comes how do you feel. Today I would like to present Botox.  What is Botox?  Botox is  a protein that stops muscle spasms. A doctor will inject it directly into your muscles. A spasm is when your muscle moves on its own. It feels like twitching. For me When botox is injected into muscles it feel like I freeze muscles under a first layor of skins that mean I can stop wrinkles. Let's think about when you get older or winkles come before ealier. What will you do? Somebody let wrinkles come due to it's a human nature. Somebody would like to do someting for maintenance which help them increasing a confidant. It's no wrong if you would like to do it, but you need to accept a truth of body's aging and let the nature of our body do

language - Yue HUANG

Image
Language is the thing that completely separates humans from animals. With the help of this tool, people exchange information and collide. But also to remember, to think. It is in every field of human society, every corner, from the beginning to the end for human use. Different languages explain different cultures. It is because of language that we can learn and communicate together. We can express our emotional feelings through words. So I think the language is the greatest invention in the world.

I think the air conditioners are the world's best invention.  The fans can only produce cold air.  The heaters can only produce warm air.  However, the air conditioners can produce both cold and warm air!  Moreover, it can make an entire room cool or heat more quickly than a heater or a fan.  Therefore, I think that the air conditioner is one of the best inventions in the world.

The lip tint - Hikari Shimizu

Image
I use various kinds of lip tints every day, as my lip is so pale and not beautiful when I do not apply anything. I cannot live without lip tint, so I chose the lip tint for the world’s best invention.      Almost all Japanese people have used masks because of COVID-19, and women have struggled with smudging their makeup. The mask is hot and stuffy, so the color of the lipstick we applied often changes or comes off. Also, it is very annoying for us to redo our lips.       In these situations, the lip tint is extremely useful and convenient for us. The “tint” of lip tint means “dye” in English, and it has strong durability for moisture and rubbing. Therefore, people can maintain their lip’s color for longer than lipsticks or lip glosses, and they do not have to put on lip color over again even if they eat or drink something. In addition, it has very colorful and beautiful colors.      Hence, the lip tint is helpful and efficient because it does not smudge as easily as others, and mo

Timing Tools - Haisu Wang

Image
Timing tools are the most valuable invention because, without them, we would not have an accurate understanding of time.     In the primitive era, people observed the sun's light and shadow to create basic timing tools, such as sundials and water clocks. These simple timing tools were easy to make and met the needs of people's agricultural lifestyles. They allowed people to understand the changing seasons, plan their farming activities accordingly, and predict tides for fishing.     On top of it, the industrial revolution witnessed the development of mechanical clocks and watches, which significantly improved accuracy and were also widely used in industrial production. Moreover, through these tools, accurate time became a critical variable in the formula for labour productivity, allowing capitalists to exploit our labour more efficiently. :P Finally, timing tools are no longer limited to their functional purpose but are also involved in fashion industries and come with commer

The Camera - Sakura Iyama

Image
The best invention in the world in my opinion is the camera.      The camera is credited with the invention of the pinhole camera by Ibn al-Haytham in the 11th century. He precisely analyzed a phenomenon called the camera obscura. It is an effect in which light shining through a small hole projects an image on the opposite side.      Next, in 1685, Johann Zahn designed the first portable camera. Johann Zahn proposed a small device with a mirror reflection mechanism, a design that would later be used to make photographic cameras.      Since 1816, French inventor Joseph Nicephore Niepce experimented with methods to improve the image quality of the camera obscura. Only in 1825 did he press the shutter of the first photograph using a sliding wooden box camera.      In 1975, Steven Sasson invents the first portable digital camera.Steven Sasson developed a self-contained digital camera while working for Eastman Kodak. This was the beginning of the modern camera.      Additionally, in J

Talk with friends - Sakura Iyama

Image
Talking with friends makes me feel relieved. However in New Zealand, there are few friends, therefore I’m really into talking with my friends on the phone. Due to the time differences between Japan and New Zealand, it is difficult to do that, however its difficulty makes me think that I should value my time.        For example, the time to communicate with family and friends that I used to talk to before coming here is precious time and without that, I would not be able to be happy.  Therefore, in my opinion, making phone calls is not only difficult but also makes me feel happy.

Exercise as a habit - Haisu Wang

Image
Science has shown us that getting some exercise can release endorphins —— a chemical generated by the body that reduces pain and gives us a sense of happiness. Accordingly, find a couple of activities you will enjoy most rather than challenging ones, and be flexible with the exercise routine. If you choose a physically demanding exercise at the beginning, you may quickly feel frustrated, contrary to the purpose of being happy. Remember, exercise as a habit can start as something small, but you will be benefited while consisting of it. It improves your physical health and, more importantly, can boost your mood.

Market Day Debrief – Riri Matsushima

Image
I went to a Market Day. The weather was good, so I was pleasant. There were many shops of clothes, beautiful accessories and an interesting game corner. One of thing I impressed was there are many clothes, I guessed there were second-hand clothes. I thought it was good for sustainable environment. Although I didn't buy anything unfortunately, I enjoyed watching a lot of products. These are so cute, colorful and creative. I have seen similar events in Japan but these were not so popular for younger people. today I saw that many people apparently enjoyed, which was one of deference between Japanese and Kiwi I guess. I enjoyed so much and it was a good event!

Today I went to Market  for the first time in NZ. It was a little like the Japanese ones, but more vibrant in NZ. My best thing of this event was Jewelry stalls, because it was interesting to see all the games that I had never seen before in Japan. Also I felt shopkeepers were friendlier than in Japan, so I learned most of NZ people are easy to get on with!! I enjoyed looking around the stalls and playing a few games. On this weekend I plan to go Saturday morning market, I know it's a little different than this , but I'm looking forward  to going more!

I went to OUSA Market Day today.  The best thing about this event for me was accessory shops.  There are some shops there and all of the products were really attractive!  I didn’t buy anything, but I should have bought something:’(. Also, I felt that the atmosphere there was a very cheerful and joyful.  It was very good because there aren’t many student-led events like this at my university in Japan.  The event was enjoyable for both students exhibiting and as guests.

I went to OUSA Market Day today. The best thing about this event for me was definitely cheerful atmosphere. There were many people who visited this market, so it was fun to me to look at all the stores. I think kiwi involve school activity proactively because there were many handmade booths, and charity things. I didn’t buy anything from stores, but this event was absolutely good one!

Market Day Debrief - Matsushita Sachiko

There are so many cute jewelries at the market, but i didn’t buy anything.  I tried a game which i throw a ball to the whole.  I couldn’t do that, but i got a coke.  I found an interesting thing in each of shop.  That is the way of paying.  When people pay, they showed their smartphone to clerks.  Each shop has a number of their bank and customer pay online.  I have never seen that way, so that was interesting.

The market day event was very interesting for me. It is because there were many kinds of shops. I think the best part of this market was the clothes shop. Particularly, the second hand shop. I found Harley Davidson t-shirts, I wondered if I should buy the t-shirt. However, I realized that this is impulse buying. I did not want to waste my money, therefore, I gave up on buying the t-shirt.      Then, I found an accessory store. There were many pieces that tempted me to buy, but I also did not want to waste my money, therefore I did not buy them.       Next, I found the interesting clothes shop, there was a cap which was written “てのひらあ”, which means that “Palmah”, it can make Japanese laugh.      In conclusion, it was a good opportunity to endure impulse buying. Many New Zealanders are kind, and Otago University students' culture is fascinating to me. There is no market day in Japan. I want to share this kind of culture with Japanese people. ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺ This is the cap th

The weather was perfect for walking around the campus and going to OUSA Market. It was a wonderful time and I felt perfect happiness because all of the students looked like they were enjoying their shopping and talking with friends or shop assistants.      It has been about three weeks since I came here and I've seen a lot of 3R(Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) products in many places. And today, I saw a lot of secondhand clothes stalls which are related to 3R. If we buy these clothes, we can stop throwing them away and reuse them. It means that we can contribute to keep the environment clean. I think it is a great idea and I suppose it is one kind of New Zealand culture. I have never experienced participating in these events, also there are no such events in my university. I think it will be nice if there are some places where we can experience something like this in Japan.

Today's market was fun because there were a lot of shops. I saw accessory shops and clothes shops and tried a game, too.  It was the most interesting that many of the accessories were made by people. Both of the students and the sellers seemed to enjoy the market.  I felt this market was one of the interesting cultures for the students and the local people in New Zealand.

Today, I went to the market. I saw some accessories and stickers. I like stickers because I like to put sticker on my phone case. I saw a lot of stickers in the market but I couldn't find my favorite one. In my university in Japan, we don't have a market like this so I'm glad I was able to experience this.

I went to the market and I saw many shops. In that market, some of them were selling accessories and others were selling second hand cloths. I thought that there are many second hand cloths shops in Dunedin so market also has many that kinds of shops. And almost all accessories are hand made and they were so cute. I don’t go to the market very much in Japan so it was good experience for me.
